Abstract
We propose the design of an integrated symmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer based on ARROW structure, compatible with the silicon processing technology, for sensing refractive indices of liquids. The interference at the output depends on the refractive index of the liquid, and is studied by applying the finite difference method to the reference and active arms of the interferometer.
