Abstract
An application of one of the emerging methods for estimating environmental values, the choice experiment, is outlined. This stated preference method allows the estimation of the different attributes of a particular good. The empirical application involves the valuation of the effects on the forest recreational function, carbon storage, and erosion protection that would have a specific forestation program in Catalonia.
