Abstract

This study analyses women's work in one of the most traditional industries located in rural areas: food processing industries. The fieldwork was realised in a rural area in crisis of the Mendoza's province (Argentina): the department of Santa Rosa, considered a margin department not only for its geographical location but also for its social and economical situation. From the gender perspective we analyse women's role in agribusiness development both from produce and reproductive dimension and also the effect of productive work in families subsistence and in gender relations.
