Abstract

The synthesis and structure of {Ag5[μ2-S-(CH 2)3-NHMe2]3[μ2-S- (CH2)3-NMe2]3}(ClO4) 2; the Ag5S6 core of the cage cation provides the only known case of an [Mx(SR)y] aggregate that can be described as a trigonal bipyramid of metal atoms enclosed within a regular trigonal prism of doubly bridging thiolate ligands.
