Abstract
The IVth Coloquio de Geografia Cuantitativa was held in Barcelona in 1990 under the auspices of the Grupo de Metodos Cuantitativos de la Asociacion de Geografos Espanoles and was organised by the Departament de Ciencies de la Terra de la Universitat de les Illes Balears. This paper summarises the contents of the meeting which in the author's opinion reveal the constant effort of renewal of the quantitative tradition in Spanish geography. -from English summary
