An approach to the η→3π decays based on η-π0 mixing and resonant final-state interactions is presented. It successfully accounts for the experimental data and circumvents the difficulties of the traditional (current-algebra) approach. The value for the G-parity-violating coupling constant |gρηπ|=0.067±0.013 is deduced from the data. © 1981 The American Physical Society.
