Ética y política del quantified work. Un análisis del vínculo entre inteligencia artificial y trabajo

This article examines quantified work as an ethical and political issue arising from the digitalizationof work and the incorporation of artificial intelligence into labor management. To that end, anon-exhaustive theoretical review of recent academic literature was conducted. The corpus wasselected through abductive reasoning and organized around four ethical-political dimensions: (i) theregulation of new technologies, (ii) mechanisms of control, (iii) the ideologies that sustain and promotethem, and (iv) emerging forms of resistance. The findings show that the literature conceptualizesquantified work as a historical intensification of the rationalization of labor. Within this framework,algorithmic systems expand the capacities for control through datafication, surveillance, and affectivemanagement. At the same time, they produce new forms of subjection, both machinic and ideological.Furthermore, different approaches to contemporary resistance were identified. These tend to rangefrom individualized practices of adaptation to collective actions with varying degrees of transformativepotential, often based on forms of resistance to-and through-algorithms themselves. In conclusion,the article's main contribution lies in articulating and systematizing these prevailing theoreticalperspectives, which are linked to heterogeneous traditions of contemporary political thought, includingneoliberalism, post-Marxism, and post-structuralism.
