The Project Water aims at elaborating and testing ten modules for Environmental Teacher Education dealing with the water problem adressed to preschool, primary and secondary teachers attending pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes. The Project Water is adressed to the CEE countries, in which water is a grave problem such as Italy, Portugal, Greece and Spain. The curricular model included in Project Water is based on a Problem solving appproach for environmental education favouring both the acquisition of a complex and systemic view of the situations related with water and the acquisition of positive attitudes towards the use and rational consume of water and to enhance proposals for developing individual and social actions which will allow teacher's intervention and improvement in their immediate area.
