Description
The main objectives are: a) to investigate the effects of journey duration and transport conditions on the welfare of sheep; b) to investigate the effects of journey duration and transport conditions on lamb meat quality; c) to study physiological and behavioural responses of sheep to stress; d) to develop methods to assess welfarein domestic rumiants; e) to study the relationships between welfare, meat quality and carcass quality.
