The research will be focussed on the following Greek Mythographers: Hecataeus of Miletus, Acusilaus of Argos, Pherecydes of Athens, Hellanicus of Lesbos, Asclepiades of Tragilus, Herodorus of Heraclaea and anonymous historic-mythographical texts contained in Homeric scholia. The work, which starts from the previous activities of the researchers in this group on Greek Mythographers, includes: 1) compilation and arrangement of witnesses and fragments of Greek Historian-Mythographers on the basis of previous editions, a new study of the founts (Homeric scholia, chiefly scholia minora, scholia on Hesiod, Tragical Poets, Pindar and Apollonius Rhodius), and new papyrus fragments.2) Establishment of texts and apparatus criticus.3) Textual and mythographical studies on every fragment.4) Translation of the fragments On this basis, the researchers intend to fulfil the complete editions of every Historian-Mythographer. Every one of these will consist of: 1)Introduction: study on the author; contents and structure of the work, founts, ideology; complete bibliography 2)Greek text with positive apparatus criticus, apparatus of founts, and loci paralleli 3)Translation 4)Textual, mythographical, literary, and historical commentary. 5)Indexes of names and mythical motifs
