Description
"Zea mays" extracts studied in our laboratory and a plant metabolicactivation system with cytochrom P-450 activity will be characterizedbiochemically. Both systems will be applied to the assessment of thegenotoxicity of some environmental contaminants and pesticides. The kind of mutations that some of the most significant promutagensactivated by these systems produce in the DNA, will be analyzed.
