Project Details
Description
The main of the project is going on in the resolution of taxonomic problems of some groups of bryophytes of the Iberian peninsula. It has been planned as a continuation of the last one, corresponding to 1989. In this occasion, the study will be centred on the "Funariaceae" family, the genus "Frullania", "Anthoceros", "Phaeoceros", "Leucobryum", "Isothecium" and "Plagiochila", the section "Rurales" of the genus "Tortula" and the section "Subsecunda" of the genus "Sphagnum". Monographs with descriptions, illustrations, key and distributions maps for the species will be prepared. The immediate result of these revision will be useful for the elaboration of an Iberian byological flora in the future.
