Foraminifera, and to some extend corals, molluscs and other benthic organims are fossils of sufficient abundance to reconstruct reliable paleobiogeographic map detailed in time at least stage by stage, if not zone by zone. True differences between neighboring biogeographic provinces have to be distinguished however, from faunal material in time and form differences between facies gradient such as the depth gradient or nutritional levels. Past and current works in recent environments and their faunas provide clues to recognize at least in recent foraminifera and associated benthic faunas trophic levels and their relation to depth and diversity. Keeping these new, ecological aspects of the marine, benthic, shallow water faunas in mind, and applying it to the fossil record, we would like to measure the time necessary to reconstitute the genetic complexity for K-strategist in oligotrophic en
