Processos d'exclusió social en la vellesa. Valoració d'una proposta teòrica sobre marginació social

The project is part of a long term research which pretends to contribute to the construction of a scientific theory of social exclusion. This petition intends to contrast a theoretical set of propositions already elaborated. These propositions deal with the characteristics and factors which produce the existence of social exclusion and their variability in old age. To attain these objectives a comparative research on empirical studies about old age in countries at different levels of development will be made. A field work in which we have been working for some time will be continued and results on the death-old age hypothesis should be obtained.
