Description
The institutional efforts devoted to increasing traffic safety are growning in all industrialized countries. These efforts are being oriented to modify the driver's habits that are responsible of traffic accidents, but its effectiveness will be conditioned by their incidence on modifiable behavioral aspects. The purpose of this research project is to dilucidate the significance of risk perception and acceptability as moderators of driver's behavior. These variables have been established as predictors in psychological models of driver behavior, however their interrelations have not been clarified. The research conclusions may be importants in order to design safety campaigns.
