The interest of this project lies in the fact that it sets out to make major contributions to techniques of optimisation in certain economic models. The differentiability of the function of optimum policy will make economic models easier to handle and allow the application to them of the following: a) "exercices of comparative statics" to analyze the response of optimum policy to variations in the parameters; b) "analysis of regularity" [Cf. Debreu (1970, Econométrica)] to verify the local unicity of equilibrium; c) "dynamic system techniques" to analyze the stability of equilibrium and the economic conditions that may give rise to cycles, chaotic behaviour and bifurcations.
