Description
The current investigation is framed by the standpoint of viewing teaching performance as caused by cognitive and motivational processes within the professor. Such psychological mechanisms are modelized on the basis of the expert paradigm and related to instructional processes and the improvement of teaching efficiency. Furthermore an assessment instrument is provided as a mean to implement the theoretical model. Eventually main directions for enhancing teaching effectiveness are suggested. A correlational design will be used to analyze the relationships between the independent variables: cognitive and motivational characteristics of a sample of secondary education teachers, plus some non professorial variables, and the only dependant variable: teacher efficacy.
