The aim is to analyse three aspects of the Independence War taht have not been sufficiently researched. One of the main objectives is to relate and to interpret the Independence War and the previous Convention War, in the respective international backgrounds of Napoleonic Europe and Revolutionary Europe. Secondly, to understand the Independence War as a national war that opened the process of Liberal Revolution. And finally, to appreciate it as liberation war and as a romantic symbol in the revolutionary Europe
