Microsensores de ozono y cloro. Tecnologías del ozono

Project Details

Description

The main objective of this project is the development of microsensors and analytical control systems for monitoring heavy metals and COD in composting processes and for monitoring chlorine and ozone in ludic waters. Microsensors will be fabricated with microelectronic technology which offers robust, mass fabrication (therefore low cost) and low response time devices. In particular, the objective is to develop an array of microelectrodes using different metals and conductive materials to measure with voltammetric techniques the parameters indicated above. A special easily handled instrumentation will be developed for each application to obtain rapid measurements. Sensors will be implemented in an automated analytical flow system. This system will permit the analysis of multiparametric data for compost monitoring. The evaluation of all sensors and systems in field conditions with real samples will be the culmination of this project. This will permit the control of quality in ludic waters and in compost processes that has a significant importance in the environmental and sanitary fields
