Description
Objective: Follow-up of a hgh-risk for schizophrenia cohort to detect a pattern of psychobiological markers that would allow: a) to refine the phenotypic profile of high-risk subjects and b) to predict the presentation of ulterior clinical breakdown. Design: Hight-risk study: prospective longitudinal cohort follow-up, in two phases. Setting: school populations in the town of Barcelona and Gerona area. Subjects: 300 adolescents and young adults age; 16+-1; both sexes. Procedure: Phase I: assessment of neuropsychological, , neurophysiological and social adjustment variables; (sustained attention; spatial and verbal memory; SCOR; sociogram: Achenbach scales). Phase II; interview for clinical diagnosis (DSM IV criteria) (SCID/PDE).
