Project Details
Description
The object of this project is to develop a simple yet reliable methodology which should improve maize cultivars (genotypes). Adopted in DC laboratories, cultures will become more tolerant to acid soils and production will increase. For this, a better understanding of the factors limiting maize production in acid soils is required, in particular aluminium dynamics, physiology of alluminium toxicity and aluminium tolerance. The plant response to soil acidity and aluminium toxicity will also be analysed in the plants themselves but also in tissue cultures.
