Project Details
Description
The problem of ranking sets of alternatives has been analysed in several economic decision models, both from an individual and a social perspective. Nonprobabilistic approaches to individual decisions and collective choices are commonly formulated in terms of ranking sets of outcomes. Problems of coalition formation and groups stability are highly sensitive to the rankings of groups of agents by different members of society. In the course of the proposed project, we intend to provide new contributions to specific aspects of those problems, and develop a general framework encompassing their common underlying structure.
