Project Details

Description

Liquid membranes have drawn the attention of the scientists and engineers during the last ten-fifteen years, due to their efficiency and various potential applications ranging from hydrometallurgy, to medicine and environment protection. However, there is still inadequate coordination of the activities of the European research groups, especially between laboratories in Western and in Easter Europe, which results in inefficient outlay and waste of intellectual potential and money. The present project will develop research in design and applying liquid membranes and will help in establishing contacts between the research groups in Europe and will create an efficient system for information exchange. This will eliminate repetitive studies, "discoveries" of known facts, and will stimulate the new ideas. Along with the information coordinating activity, the project will yield software and information data based, for all Europeans users.
