Description

The International working party on labour market segmentation is an international study group on labour market and their relation with Regulatory Institutions. The group celebrate an annual meeting that this year was devoted to the topic "decentralization and regulation in the labour market: or what is the appropiate level for labour market regulation?". There were paper on regulation and deregulation in some specific countries, the appropiate level of labour market regulation (the case of wages and women's wages), regulatory regimes and economic efficiency (an international comparision), active labour market policies and the distribution of the cost of unemployment, "Regulation": a key concept in analyses of the labour market, internationalisation and decentralisation. In each topic there were different national papers that allow an international comparision as a general debate.
