Project Details
Description
The overarching objective is to transfer the award-winning practice of the Teaching Clinic (TC) to other countries, there by building an international TC network (ITCN) that will scale the implementation (increasing cost-efficiency and flexibility) and allows to increase quality and impact through internationalization. In terms of effects on the target populations (pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, and, ultimately, pupils), this can be further broken down in four objectives.
A consortium of five higher education institutions, their associated partners and local networks aim to create an International Teaching Clinic Network (ITCN) to exchange ideas and learn from and with each other. They will organize virtual and in person events, workshops, training sessions, and online platforms to grow and strengthen the network. Evaluating the network's effectiveness will be an ongoing process to determine its impact on the educational community.
The ITCN project aims to transfer the benefits of local Teaching Clinics (TCs) to new teacher education programs/schools and evaluate the impact of TCs on students, teachers, and educational ecosystems in a granular manner. Embedding the
TCs into a wider, transnational network is expected to bring a new set of benefits to all stakeholders, including greater choice of projects for students, scalability, creation of high-quality digital learning resources, and wider dissemination.
