INtegrating Magnetic Resonance SPectroscopy and Multimodal Imaging for Research and Education in MEDicine (INSPiRE-MED)

Project Details

Description

Imaging technology plays a central role in modern healthcare, providing advanced techniques such as magnetic resonance (MR), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), magnetic resonance spectroscopy imaging (MRSI) and positron emission tomography (PET). The development of multi-parametric MR and hybrid imaging, combining the non-invasive metabolic information of MRS or MRSI with the high sensitivity of PET, is crucial for the improvement of diagnosis and disease monitoring. Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the INSPiRE-MED project will create a research training network of academic and industrial partners aimed at training early stage researchers in the field of medical imaging, including MRS and MRSI as well as their combination with MR imaging and PET.
