Project Details
Description
The present geodempographic project has three objectives:
1) to establish the interrelation processes between demographic diversity and housing stock patterns, by taking in account the main filter: residential mobility.
2) to explore the links between the population experience in commuting and the residential location and mobility patterns.
3) to analize the temporal evolution of the influence exercised by road network upon the directions and intensity of change in both the populations's mobility and distribution.
To achieve these objectives, an analysis of the temporal evolution, sociodemographic selectivity, spatial diversity of the Spanish population will be undertaken. The final results will search the comparison with the European situation. The analysis will use, as the main statistical source, the 2001 Spanish Census of Population and Housing.
