Description

We study questions of mechanism design in contexts where it is important to take into account the characteristics of those agents which cooperate among themselves, or the existing relationship between different members of society. We use cooperative and non-cooperative game theory, as well as the theory of networks. We study different markets through which teams are formed (matching and labor markets in particular), and also collective choice mechanisms (rules of vote, methods to allocate public goods), where the groups formed by different agents have an impact on the nature and the stability of public decisions. The project will be carried out through a series of specific papers on precise topics within this general area of concern. It will emphasize theory. Yet, the team is open to cooperation involving the analysis of more applied questions, especially if they refer to the ongoing process of redefinition of the European institutions
