Grups de Grothendieck d'anells i cancel.lació de mòduls

We will study the structure of finitely generated projective modules over several classes of rings, including Von Newmann regulars rings, Banach algebras, and strongly regulars rings. The key ingredient in this study is the Grothendieck group of a ring. Moreover, cancellation results are needed in order to get specific information on module isomorphisms. Our main tool in the study of cancellation problems will be the concept of stable range of a ring.
