Project Details
Description
The object of the FASTDOC project is to develop and test a prototype fast electronic document order and delivery system based on an already existing journal image archive and inhouse delivery system. It will be open to external users employing, as far as possible, existing standard hardware, software and international networks. The participants will prepare the procedures and will develop and/or select the required software and hardware necessary for the installation of the planned system. The order and delivery system will be tested, further optimized and implemented into the routine library service of the project partners and associated partners. In addition, questions relating to user expectations, copyright and economics are dealt with.
