Estudi ultraestructural i immunològic de la regió centromèrica de cromosomes s'espermatozoide humà

    Project Details

    Description

Heterologous (hamster-human) in vitro fertilization makes it possible to obtain chromosomic samples of human sperm. Their cytogenic study demonstrates a high level of aneuploidies. Kinetochore has been related to the origin of aneuploidies since it is involved in chromosomic movement in the mitotic spindle. Since human sperm chromosomes often present decondensation of the centromeric heterochromatine, we propose to study the organization and degree of condensation of the heterochromatic zones by transmission and scanning electron microscopy, as well as identifying their kinetochores by means of immunofluorescence techniques. This study will be make it possible to evaluate the existence of interchromasomic variations in the measurement of kinetochores. Which might explain the high level of aneuploidies as has been done for lymphocyte chromosomes
