Estudi de marcadors uniparentals en les poblacions humanes de les comarques de Zamora: caracterització genètica-forense i dinàmica evolutiva

Project Details

Description

(...) In the present project a well defined and accessible peninsular population will be studied, in concrete, the population of Zamora. This population responds to a local division that respects the boundaries marked by the natural agents, fundamentally the fluvial courses of Duero, Esla and Tera, and, simultaneously that, counts with an orography defined by a latitudinal gradient that go from the upland to the limits of galaic-leonine mountains, playing a boundary role, essentially through the region of Aliste that communicates in a natural manner with the Portuguese region of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. On the other hand, the province of Zamora has been under important demographic fluctuations and to a high degree of isolation demonstrated by the high levels of endogamy (90%) and consanguinity (\alpha=0.0073) in some of its zones (ej.Sanabria). The aim of this project is to investigate, at a genetic-population level, the uniparental markers (mtDNA and Y Ch) taking special attention to the evolutionary dynamics through heteroplasmy associated to the first and study of surnames (isonimy) with a transmission pattern associated to the Y chromosome.
