Project Details
Description
The objective of this AM is to generate a limited number of proposals for Joint Research Projects (JRP) dealing with the linguistic diversity, with the specific objective to create documents and/or advanced means of communication conceived to give exact definition of terminologies and concepts in the field of Cultural Heritage, C.H., and its posterior diffusion within professional, SME, cultural and/or high educational media. Other objective is to achieve the convergence between different languages present at the Workshop (9), in order to establish the terminologies used in the scientific-technical study of C.H. and this in a specific, precise and homogenous form. The disciplines present in the AM are: Basic Sciences, Architecture, Environment, Com and Inf. Tech and Linguistics.
The Euro Mediterranean region has an enormous Linguistic Diversity. This diversity causes in most occasions that the scientific and technical terms expressed in various languages of the region do not signify exactly the same things, but sometimes very different ones. This situation lends itself to a multitude of confusions in oral or written communication. This AM we pretend to organize a workshop that will be the catalyst for various proposals of Joint Research Projects (JRP) dealing the exact definition in different languages on scientific and technical terms, related to the study of materials of natural origin which are present in the Euro Mediterranean Cultural Heritage of the architecture of the monuments. The sectors present in the AM will be: Basic sciences and technologies/Environment Sc/Architecture/Communication-Inf. Tech/Linguistics. The chosen languages are: Arab, Turkish, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
