Project Details
Description
Jefferson has a good knowledge of the Spanish language and cultures; he met a good number of Spaniards; and he was concerned about the political power of Spain, since her colonies in America were an obstacle to the territorial expansion of the United States. As a consequence of all this, he developed a series of personal ideas about Spain. The aim of the present project is the study, systematic analysis and eventual publication of these ideas.
