A study has been designed to evaluate the effects that alterations of hypophyso-thyroidal axis produce on behaviour and CNS. We will focuse our attention on septo-hippocampal zone and hypothalalmus and amigdala (Limbic Ssistem). At behavioural level we will study the emotional reactivity, activity-exploration, anxiety and social interaction which will be evaluate by means of adequated behavioral tests. The main objectives are: 1) to characterize al behavioral level the endocrinological states (pathological and normal states).2) to evaluate the morphological changes that have been caused by endocrinological alterations on CNS. Because of the hypopyhso-tyroidal axis is involucrated on the emotional state and the L.S. is the basic system of brain involved on the emotional response, we postulate that: the thyroidal alterations will provoke modifications on the emotional state of the subject and also on behaviours related with it. Moreover we also postulate that those thyroidal modifications will produce changes on those cerebral structures
