Fenitrothion, a phosphorothinate (organophosphate insecticides) provokes testicular modifications and changes in the blood and urinary androgen levels. In lung, due to the thione group (=S), microsomal system acts in testosterone biosynthesisi and metabolice the different exogenous substances which arrive at that level. Modifications in microsomal system can alter the hormonal activity and the toxificant/detoxificant capacity of the system. The purpose of this work is to study the effect of fenitrothion and related compounds on the testicular microsomal activity in order to know the importance of their toxicological and reproductor effects
