Project Details

Project Aims:
- Developing an interdisciplinary and cross-sectorial definition of the challenges that LGBTfamilies pose to professionals in healthcare, education, law and social work at European level, merging the actual knowledge on the needs and structure of these families with the visions of professionals through a joint work aimed at improving the inclusion practices in the four countries involved starting from the curriculum and competences of the professionals;
- Identifying a set of key competences to work with LGBT parents and their children in different contexts: health care, schools and educational services, social work and legal assistance.
- Creating a transnational, cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary curriculum for in service and prospective professionals who work (or could work) with LGBT parents and their children, with a special attention to those contexts where this kind of training is poor or lacking;
- Raising awareness both in academia and in public services on these issues making training modules and training toolkits available for secondary-level beneficiaries outside the partnership, such as Universities, Training centres, local and national bodies, professional associations, etcetera.
