The project focusses on the following points: 1) design of a device for the treatment of gaseous effluents based on the heterogeneous photocatalysis methodology, and 2) study of the degradation kinetics of gaseous contaminants, particulary some volatile organic compounds (VOC's). The project consists of: 1) preparation and characterization of the photocatalysts, 2) design and construction of the experimental device, 3) kinetic studies of degradation and 4) studies of optimization of the photocatalytic device.
