In this R+D project the research objectives purpose is to propose some hardware system architectures that let to implement Computer Vision applications at the digital images acquisition frequency. Beginning with a collection of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition algorithms which we have widely probed, it will be analyzed the low, medium and high level processes that are necessary to carry out them in real time. These study results will let us to obtain some specific architectures properties, characteristics and VHDL models for helping to built an industrial prototype whose function is to detect a particular object by its form and color. Morevover, if it is moving the system will follow it, pointing at its center of masses. In the prototye development we think to use are accesible by universities at low cost through the European Union service EUROCHIP. At the conclusion of the proje
