Desenvolupament d'un microsistema bio-elèctric-òptic integrat d'alta sensibilitat per a la detecció de microorganismes en mostres clíniques, industrials i ambientals

Project Details

Description

(...) The main goal of this project is to study the development feasibility of biological Microsystems for the detection of several types of microorganisms. This research will be based in the use of nano and micro-technologies allowing the achievement of advanced impedimetric biosensors and opto-biochemical devices, as well as the integration if such sensing tools -using advanced interconnexion and encapsulation techniques- in microfluidic platforms. By integrating some of the most advanced technologies, we aim to develop better pathogen detection methodologies. Thus, new health protocols may be readly may be implemented rapidly and safely in those points where sanitary control is more difficult at present. The project will enable incumbents in the health and safety sector (companies and governmental agencies alike) to gain new technological grounds enabling them to have at their disposal a range of new tools for diagnose and control which promote the implementation of TEC based solutions and which also facilitate their integration in the information society.
