The goal of this project is the analysis of the coarticulatory trendsin seven European languages (French, English, German, Italian,Catalan, Swedish, Irish). A corpus of 400 sequences was recorded foreach language; the ACCOR database includes different types of foneticsignals, namely, acoustic, electropalatographic, glottographic andaerodynamic. The research topics were the simple vs complex nature ofpalatal consonants, differences in consonantal production acrosslanguages, intergestural timing properties... The data analyzed inthe project is of interest in the fields of speech synthesis andspeech recognition.
