Description
Agricultural is experiencing important transformations that are having a tremendous impact on farming strategies. One of the most significant transformations is the growing diversification of farms, with the corresponding development of a wide number of non-traditional activities. Diversification represents an important change for the postiion of the woman within the family and within the farm. There are different models of diversification, which carry varied repercussions. The objective of this study is to analyse the changes in the levels of recognition and visibility of the contributions of female labour as regards to the different types of farm diversification. From the results of this analysis, recommendations that favour the equality of opportunities that are based on adequate diversification models are elaborated.
