Description
The synthesis of polymeric benzophenone has been described as well as its behaviour as sensitised in classic photochemical reactions. Its photophysical properties have been initially studied by "diffuse reflectance laser flash photolysis". A systematic study of these properties and their dependence on the interaction of the benzophenone group with the polymeric surroundings are suggested in this research proposal. In addition the synthesis of polymers carrying benzophenone and CHC1\sub 2\nosub and diene quencher groups is proposed
