Avaluació farmacològica de noves molècules multipotents per al tractament de la malaltia d'Alzheimer

Project Details

Description

The aims of this project will be the biological evaluation of a novel series of multifunctional molecules to be use in the Alzheimer's disease therapy. These new molecules will contain a chemical group derived from donezepilo and furthermore able to interact with the catalytic site of the AchE. Also a moiety derived from a naftiridine present in these molecules, will allow to interact with the peripheric anionic site (PAS) of the AchE responsible of the beta-amyloid aggregation. The presence of a propargyl group will be the responsible of the MAO B inhibition and furthermore with a neuroprotective and antipoptotic effect. All this project is strongly reinforced and based with all the research expertise accumulated by the two applicants of this project and showed in their respective CV.
