Description

Studies based on material culture analysis from an ethnoarchaelogical point of view present a complementary and fruitful way of research in relation to more developed geographical and sociological approaches implying two research fields:the analysis of femenine techologies and the analysis of organization models of dwellings and their links with production models at local and microregional level. The first one focuses on the technological studies of manufactures of domestic maintenance and the transformation processes and consuming patterns of nourriture and their associated features. The second one aims, firstly, to the definition of the organizational characteristics of domestic groups or corresidential models and, secondity, to the mapping of the manufacture traditions and of management of nourishing processes.
These methodological approaches will be applied to two cases studies: one archaeological (late Prehistoric sites of the Vallès region in Northeast Spain) and one ethnoarcheological (the Els Ports region in the levantine hinterland of Valencia).
