A specific immune response is developed in endometriosis, this provokes infertility. Study objective: investigation of how the growth of endometrial cells in extrauterine locations may provoke specific inmune response to these cells. Determination of the relationship between the presence of antibodies and infertility in women with endometriosis. Design: study of two groups of women aged from 30 to 45: a) healthy women with no medical pathology; and b) women with endometriosis. Setting: women consulting the Unit of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from de Social Security in Barcelona area. Patients: women with infertility problems in the couple. The patients with endometriosis will be diagnosed laparoscopically.
