Project Details
Description
The aim of this project is to study the activities of maintenance and the levels of public health of prehistoric communities in later Majorcan prehistory, focusing on the settlement sites of Son Fornés, Son Ferragut and the cementeries of Son Real and S'Illot des Porros. This research will enable a comprehensive insight of the work processes as performed in the domestic units, as well as the standards of mortality, pathology and nutrition of these groups, and the way they relate to each other. Non androcentric criticism will provide an outline for a new conceptualization of the classical dichotomy between private and public spheres.
