Accounts of the impacts on Forest and Biodiversity of Land Cover/Land Use Changes: case study from the land cover changes 1970-90 in 4 Central and Eastern countries

The study relates to the development of Land and Ecosystems Accounts . It aims at testing approaches which have been identified in previous works in the context of the Eurostat work on land accounting and the activities of the EEA ETLC & PTLLC. Results from the study for DG Research on Green Accounting in the Czech Republic will be considered at this stage from the point of view of a possible later incorporation. In the same way, recommendations will be addressed to the statistical system for the supply of missing data for a full development of Land and Ecosystems Accounts.
