Víctor Nacher Garcia received his Biological Sciences degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1990. He was awarded a Fundació August Pi i Sunyer grant (1993-1995), a FISss grant (1996-1998) and a Fundació Catalana de Trasplantament grant (1999) for the study of beta cell growth in pancreatic islet transplantation in the Bellvitge Hospital and Universitat de Barcelona (UB). He undertook a PhD program in the UB being awarded his PhD degree in 1999. In 2000, he was awarded an assistant professor position in the Anatomy and Embryology Unit at the Veterinary School of the UAB. In 2010 he became associate professor in the Animal Health and Anatomy Department at the UAB. From 2014 until now, Dr. Nacher Garcia is the coordinator of the Anatomy and Embryology Unit of the Veterinary School. 

The research interest focus on the study of blood and lymphatic vessels, angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, regeneration, cell death, cellular senescence and gene therapy in pancreatic beta cells, kidney and retina. He has participated in more that 10 projects and 5 research projects supported by FISss/ISCIII. Research production and general quality indicators, includes 34 research articles, 1067 citations, and and H-index equal to 14.
