Research interests

Senior Lecturer in the UAB Department of Sociology, researcher at the Centre d'Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidiana i el Treball (QUIT) and at the Institut d'Estudis Treball. She has been Vice-Rector for Students and Employability at the UAB (2016-2020) and Vice-Dean at the UAB Faculty of CCPP and Sociology (2008-2016). Her main lines of research are framed in the field of the Sociology of Work, Sociology of Time and Sociology of Gender. Her scientific career began in 2002 as a fellow in the training of personal researcher at QUIT. In September 2007, she defended the PhD Thesis "Time, work and well-being: an approach from everyday life" worthy of the Extraordinary Prize from the Department of Sociology. She has participated in 12 competitive research projects. In addition, she has directed and participated in 13 non-competitive research projects and 7 research and transfer contracts. In this last case, it involves research in collaboration with leading public and private institutions in the field of Social Sciences such as IDESCAT, the Institute of Regional and Metropolitan Studies of Barcelona, ​​the La Caixa Foundation or the Jaume Bofill Foundation, among others. During these years, she has carried out two research stays in prestigious international centers: the pre-doctoral stay at the Change Research Center of the Università degli Studi di Firenze and the post-doctoral stay at the Center for International Business Studies at the London South Bank University. Her scientific production is specified in articles in indexed journals of recognized prestige in their field within the international and national scope (in addition to other articles published in non-indexed journals). She has also published books individually and as a co-author. Scientific dissemination and knowledge transfer are aspects that have occupied a central place throughout her academic career. She has participated in international and national congresses, as well as advised and collaborated with institutions of the public administration. She is co-director of Papers. Revista de Sociología and has evaluated articles in scientific journals with an impact index recognized as Time and Society, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Equality, diversity and inclusion, Politics and Society, REIS, RIS or Sociology of Work. Currently, she is the President of the Research Committee of Sociology of Work of the Spanish Federation of Sociology and is an active member of the committees of Sociology of Time and Sociology of Gender.
